Solution Number One:
Vacuum Bags. Lucky for me these babies were on a lightning deal on amazon for $19.99 for 20 bags. Making this a cheap storage solution about a dollar a bag!
All those baby clothes, winter coats and bedding squished down to nice sized bag. Saving precious space in the closet and making any upcoming moving experiences easier too.
Saving tip:The same thing can be done with trash bags just make sure you have good ties and double your bags to prevent rips that could cause unwanted expansions.
Solution Number Two:
Think vertical. Those lovely command strip hooks are great for apartment living. They turn a closet wall into extra storage by creating a great place to hang hats, bags, purses and belts. In the kitchen, they can be put to use hanging kitchen spoons, measuring cups and scrub brushes. My hair dryer is hung on a command hook in the bathroom cubbard, not only keeping it organized but up and out of the way.
Vertical solutions included even using the back of doors for hanging shoe organizers. Which are a great solution for gloves and hats, craft supplies, games, kitchen spices or even makeup.
Shower rods that extend across a space can add extra opportunities to hang clothes, shoes or even cleaning solutions under your sink.

Solution Number Three:
Under beds and sofas. Bed risers are great for creating space under the bed for more storage underneath. We stored suitcases, books and even extra toilet paper to give us more needed space in another areas of the apartment.
